How to make Danette chocolate cream at home ?

  • Start by measuring out 1/2 L of milk.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together about 1 cup of the milk with 30g of cocoa powder, 40g of cornstarch, and 30g of sugar until smooth.
  • Bring the remaining milk to a boil in a saucepan.
  • Slowly whisk the cocoa slurry into the boiling milk. Be sure to constantly stir to avoid lumps (if there is any, use a hand mixer). Once everything is combined, bring the mixture back to a boil.
  • Take the pot off the heat and stir in 1 tbsp of cream.
  • Pour the chocolate mix into glasses and let it cool slightly before placing it in the fridge to chill completely.
These proportions yield approximately 4 glasses of chocolate cream.

Enjoy your homemade dessert, & Bon appétit !
