Flavorful Green Chutney - my way
In a blender, combine 3 handfuls of fresh coriander, 3 handfuls of fresh mint, 1 large onion, 1 tomato, 3 cloves of garlic, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, green chilies according to your taste, salt, black salt, pepper, and green chutney masala powder.
Gradually add water to the blender and blend the ingredients until you achieve a smooth consistency.
Bon
appétit !
You can replace the green chutney masala powder with cumin powder and aamchur (dry mango powder).
I use between 6 and 10 green chillies. However, if you find the chutney too spicy after making it, you can add a dollop of cream or yogurt to reduce the heat.
This versatile green chutney (also called Daniya/Pudina chutney, which stands for Coriander/Mint) can be used in various ways. It can be spread on sandwiches, served alongside pakodas (deep-fried fritters), or used in a marinade.
